2021 Golden Globe Awards – and the Winners are…

The 78th Golden Globe awards took place this past weekend. This year’s hosts, classic comedic duo Amy Poehler and Tina Fey, performed a seamless socially distant job as hosts together thanks to identical sets at The Rainbow Room in New York City and the Beverly Hilton Hotel in LA.

Their opening speech lightly roasted the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (as did several of the nominees), which decides the Golden Globe Awards, for having no black members.

It was something that the heads of the organisation themselves later stood up on stage, admitted to, and committed to changing.

Most presenters walked on live, with a couple speaking via videocall. All the nominees were sitting at home in their red carpet best.
