Technology came at the time we almost the world expected but the pace at which this is transforming the world of work is like a skyrocket. Did you see this transformation coming so quickly? Industries have transformed overnight hunting for new skills to hire. Information busted all over the place with every day dilemmas on what to watch, listen and even more brands to trust. Be my witness, the African educational system did not prepare us for this.
Digital Marketing is the trending world hunting skill and more importantly, the future. After generations of our traditional work habits, technology brings freedom to productivity. The Hyperlink Africa team sets out this initiative to impact the youth in Africa an opportunity to learn a skill free; an opportunity we never had in school. Africa has the highest youth population in the world and this looks like a good opportunity to invade the Digital Marketing skill in the world of work.
After the first physical training, which happened at the Ghana Tech lab, located at the Accra Digital Center in February, the 2-day training impacted the participants positively in their various endeavors or objectives.
Other sessions are scheduled online with the most recent happening on the 2nd and 3rd April of, 2022. The Africa Digital Marketing Team targets to train 5,000 from Ghana, Nigeria, Rwanda, Kenya, and other African countries by the end of 2022.
Most recently session has facilitators like Rahman Abdul-Latif; A Digital Marketer at MTN Ghana, Kobby Kyei; Blogger and owner of Kobby Kyei News, Ibukun Onitiju; Head of Digital, Nestlé Central & West Africa and Bright Tenbil; CEO of Hyperlink Africa. This online event starts from 14:00 GMT to 17:00 GMT for 2 days for the intensive certificate training.
With positive feedback and engagement from the last session, organizers are elated to share great achievements like hiring some trained participants. ‘One of our sole aims is to sell the skills of our African Youth to the brands out there. We can work hand in hand to sharpen the participant’s skills on the job’ – Bright Tenbil; Curator of the Africa Digital Marketing Youth Training.
