Coachella Music Festival canceled once again due to COVID-19

Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival has been ordered to cancel this year’s edition due to the coronavirus pandemic. This year’s edition was scheduled for two weekends in April, but will not go ahead according to the Riverside County Health Officer Dr. Cameron Kaiser.

“The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival and the Stagecoach Country Music Festival currently scheduled for April 2021 are hereby canceled…If COVID-19 were detected at these festivals, the scope and number of attendees and the nature of the venue would make it infeasible, if not impossible, to track those who may be placed at risk.” Kaiser expressed.

This will be the third time the festival had to cancel, after cancelling April 2020 dates and later the October 2020 dates.

At the moment there’s no word for the organizers on when the festival will resume.
