Yesterday, the 6th of December, 2019, we were at the Silverbird Cinema in Accra, Ghana, to see one of the most promoted Ghanaian produced movie this year, and we must confess that the masterpiece, as produced by star-actress, Yvonne Nelson and directed by the virtuoso, Pascal Amanfo, lived up to its billing. Without any iota of reservation, the movie possesses hot prospective worth.
Aside the cinema ‘dancing all night’ because it was an evening of charged experience from the red carpet, into the cinema halls and back to the movie lovers’ homes – it’s in order to reiterate that the deepness of ‘FIX US’ from start to finish, was entertaining.
Let’s simply share with you few reasons why you must see this movie today. First, the script is astounding as every scene advances the story. Watching the movie, we noticed that the plot has original elements and twists from an interesting script. The movie is one of a true-to-life; good structure, good acting, and we must be quick to add that the visual beauty came in smooth at its smoothest best.
Allow us to praise the worthy acting of the characters from the A-list to the new comers from Ghana and other countries alike; and among them is the prodigy of Ivorian cinema, Alexandra Amon, who for us with others conveyed the depth and dimension of the story. Without a shadow of doubt, all the characters in their individual roles showed that there is no substitute for class. And so did we also notice that Alexandra Amon for instance, is a ‘Jewel in the Savannah’.
‘FIX US’ producers paid intense attention to details. They made sure that the movie came out with meaning and a purpose. Every angle of the plot and theme were rolled out so we could pick apart and reassemble the story – and still applauded. The attention to details helped set up continuity that we greatly appreciated when we got to the end of the movie.
We must point out that just as the beginning kept us glued to our seats and our popcorns intact, the ending got a standing ovation, allowing everyone in the cinema to trust that the writer wrote the story setting up every guide much like a set of dominoes – where the ending knocks down into place.
Yesterday, we had a perfect evening in the ‘FIX US’ paradise where everything went right, setting a positive tone for movie lovers to have a Merry Christmas in advance.
