Nhyiraba Adwoa Amofa Osei aka ‘Adwoa Loud GH’ on Monday (12th of March, 2019), took to her Instagram page to remind Charter House Productions Ghana, organizers of the annual Vodafone Ghana Music Awards scheme, that they should wake up from the way they treat the media (especially before, during and after their events).

The Journalist who doubles as a Makeup Artiste cum MC did not hold back her lashes when in her summation pointed out that for history and logic, some things still and will remain the same (with Charter House), but if they will listen, then this year and the ones to come – will be ‘stew’ for everyone.

In her au-revoir-speech, she hopes that the 2019 edition will not be a case of ‘same hymnbook, same playbook’ anansesem!

Dear VGMA / CHARTER HOUSE / VODAFONE, good day. So i have a few thoughts or questions maybe, even rants (depending on which angle you look at it from).
So every year, you’d call us (THE MEDIA) when its time for your launch, nominees party and a few press conferences that you hold. I marvel at the ZEAL, ENTHUSIASM and POLITENESS with which you CHASE us to give us (THE MEDIA) letters / invitations to these events because you know very well that WE are the mouthpiece through which all the awareness you need to create concerning the MAIN AWARDS NIGHT will be done effectively (which of course we do very well, in fact we overdo it).
However, it amazes me that after all the publicity is given and the MAIN event is due, you treat US (THE MEDIA) like CRAP!!
You hesitate in issuing media tags to us (the same people you were CHASED for your launch to attend your launch).
When we call to even make enquiries on how to get accreditation, your people are EXTREMELY RUDE to us. In worst case scenarios, we are harassed and embarrassed especially on the night of the event; entry, seating area, even getting interviews from award winners backstage becomes wahala because there’s some RESTRICTION and in the end we’re given tags which gives us entry to just “THE LOBBY”.

1) So here goes my question, just as you print ALL invites (to both officials & media for your launch), why CAN’T you do same with media tags / accreditation for the awards night?. (Perhaps after the launch your interest is in getting your money through tickets purchase so the MEDIA SHOULD / CAN GO TO HELL abi)

2)The same way you call us A THOUSAND times just for your dispatch riders to be able to locate is to bring these invites, why can’t you do same for the awards night? (probably because you’ve already got the much needed publicity you want from us so you’d rather treat us like SHIT or nobodies). 3)do you (organizers) find SOLACE in HUMILIATING us on the night , after you made us go through the stress of sending you our pictures / names / media house for press tags (which of course are never ready until the night and even that, becomes a struggle).
