Nothing in life prepares us for dealing with the loss of a loved one, but one thing we can gain solace from is how their lives have impacted ours. My mother is such a huge inspiration in my life. Though she died when I was 12, her memory continues to spur me onward. Nothing quite fills that void left by the people we’ve loved and lost. The pain stays fresh but the wounds heal after a while – understanding that life must go on.
Healthy Tips To Help You Deal With Loss:
- Develop a Prayer Culture – Getting closer to GOD always helps, because GOD is the only one who can really comfort us in times of grief and reassure us that eternal life is our inheritance in Christ Jesus. This is very important!
- Surround Yourself with People Who Love You – one of the best ways in dealing with loss is by reminding yourself of the beautiful people in your life you have so much to live for. Choose wisely who you can be vulnerable with and do that.
- Surround Yourself with People You Love – No one is equipped to deal with loss alone. You will need help navigating this tsunami of emotions. Allow the people you love and who love you be there for you. Their warmth will help you deal.
- Let Your Life Find Meaning in Purpose – Sometimes, it takes great loss to help us discover hidden potentials. What are the things that motivate you to commit your time, energy and resources daily? What gives you that true sense of purpose? Find out what it is / they are and pursue it/them diligently. Let your life make your dearly departed loved ones proud wherever they are in the afterlife.
There is no easy way of dealing with loss. We can only strive to keep the memories of all whom we’ve lost close to our hearts and pray that their souls have found eternal rest and peace in GOD. My condolences to everyone grieving.
– With Love, From Love.
