Bola Ray & his EIB partners acquire LIVE 91.9 FM

Nathaniel Kwabena Anokye Adisi (Bola Ray) and his Excellence In Broadcasting (EIB) Networks partner- former Finance Minister, Kwabena Duffor have taken over the Accra based radio station, LIVE 91.9 FM.

According to Enewsgh who initially confirmed this to us, the deal was sealed last week (in early January, 2015) and employees at the Tesano-based station – which in less than two years after going live– have been officially informed of the new arrangement.

An internal source has also confirmed that a three-month transition period will lead to an eventual change in direction and purpose.

LIVE FM (formerly trading as VIBE FM) was jointly owned Mike Cook, Founder of Vibe FM, and Kelvin Kwesi Kobiri, Head Pastor of the Charismatic Worship Center, who also doubles as CEO of the Dream Group of Companies, which owns Dream Finance, Dream Educational Institute and Dream Properties among a number of other interests. The station recruited some of the best brains available locally, when it started operations in 2013.

EIB Networks can now boast of Starr FM in Accra, Ulitmate FM in Kumasi, Empire FM in Takoradi, Cool FM in Cape Coast, Hi FM in Koforidua, Agoo FM in Nkawkaw and now Live FM.
