Ghana Meets Naija Organizers Warn Rumor-Mongers to be careful…They Sent a Note Through us to Them!

The official artiste lineup for the 2017 Ghana Meets Naija is yet to be released, organizers, Empire, have said.

Earlier reports communicated a fine list of artistes penciled for this year’s event but Empire, who are holding the event for the seventh year, say they are yet to officially communicate the complete list.

“We are still in talks with some and we are hopeful that in the next few days, we will be able to communicate the final list,” an Empire official says.

Sticking to the event’s theme and longstanding tradition of pairing artistes from Nigeria and Ghana to a night’s celebration of music, this year’s would also feature the best of the two countries.

Empire adds that the talks have advanced to a point where they feel confident they are getting almost all the acts they want for the show.

“We have had extensive negotiations and cannot wait to let people in on our final list. It is the best you can have currently from the two countries.”

In its 7^th year, the Ghana Meets Naija concert is the biggest concert in the region that brings artistes from the two countries together.

Usually oversubscribed, it has over the years hosted the likes of Wizkid, The Mavins headed by Don Jazzy, Tiwa Savage, Sarkodie, and Shatta Wale among a tall list of A-List acts.

This year’s event has uniBank as headline sponsor. The 7^th Ghana Meets Naija takes place in May.
