Ghana’s multi award winning musician, Okyeame Kwame popularly called “The Rap Doctor” has divulged on KOD show monitored by saharaspy.com on GHone TV that he was inspired to step out of his comfort zone (Ghana), which he has obviously conquered and go international through a piece published on a news portal: GhanaWeb.
Okyeame Kwame made this revelation when he was asked by the ace presenter (KOD), what inspired his recent recordings with top African musicians.
The Rap Doctor who was in his unique style African fabric, as usual was passionate when talking about the piece written by the Entertainment Editor.
He said “when I stumbled on the piece, which dissects my success in Ghana, but irrelevance in Africa, I had two choices, either to react angrily to the writer or take heed.”
“But, I decided to take lessons from the piece instead of ignoring the writer or get angry.”
“So what I did was to put a call through to Bola Ray who has links to international musicians, and that was what has inspired featuring J. Martins and the likes in my new release. And when you look at the list of artistes I am having on my upcoming album, you’ll know that the game as changed.” he submitted.
