The producers of the much-anticipated action thriller, ‘Interception’ have announced the premiere date for the movie as December 12 and 13, 2015. There will be two showings each day at the Best Western Hotel in Accra before heading to other parts of the country and abroad.
The announcement was made at the wrap party for the movie on Saturday, October 31. Director, Pascal AKA described the upcoming movie as his best work yet and promised Ghanaians that the movie, which took over 2 years to produce, would make the world take notice of Ghanaian cinema within a whole new spectacle.
Interception is a law enforcement based movie about a tactical team of highly trained ex-military men (Special Ops Team) who have been handpicked by the Vice President of Ghana for special assignments. It follows the team’s lives and work as they are assigned to track down an illegal arms dealer, Nneru Obajinzi, whose shipment was intercepted by the Customs, Excise and Preventive Services (CEPS) while in transit in Ghana. As The Special Ops Team attempt to track down the dealer and his associates, the safety of some of their teammates is jeopardized.
Interception features John Dumelo, Adjetey Anang, Chris Attoh, Ama K. Abebrese, Jasmine Baroudi, Benny Blanco and Pascal Aka among others. It is written by Nina Lalwani who is also the co-executive producer with her husband, Prakash Lalwani.
