Joselyn Dumas & Robert to anchor Glo CAF Awards today

Ghanaian actress, Joselyn Dumas and South African SuperSports television host, Robert Marawa will host the 2014 Glo-CAF Awards Gala on Thursday 8, January 2015 at the Eko Hotel & Suites Lagos, Nigeria.

The duo will steer the show to celebrate and honor African footballers and officials who distinguished themselves during the year under review, 2014. The Awards show will be televised live on DStv channels 204 and 209 at 8PM GMT.

There will be several exciting performances at the event including Global jazz icon, Hugh Masekela from South Africa, Congo DR’s multiple award-winning singer and guitarist, Fally Ipupa, Nigeria’s sensations Flavour and Lagbaja, pan-African group, Cirque D’Afrique, Soweto Gospel Choir from South Africa, Tanzania’s prominent multiple award winning singer, Diamond and sensational singing group from South Africa, Uhuru amongst others.

Expected to attend the 2014 Glo-CAF Awards gala night are many ex -internationals including former Super Eagles Captains, Austin ‘Jay-Jay’ Okocha and Kanu Nwankwo. Globacom said Okocha and two former African Footballers of the year, Nwankwo Kanu and Victor Nosa Ikpeba, are expected to grace the awards aptly labelled the Oscars of African football.

It is believed that their presence at the event would spur younger football players to greater height.
