Fresh off the release of his debut single, “Touch & Follow,” Ninety has finally dropped some accompanying visuals to the track which is slowly becoming an Afro-R&B favorite amongst many new listeners. The music video was released on YouTube and on Apple Music, featuring a mix between a 1970’s retro visual and a modern, contemporary summer romance with bold colors that serve to illuminate the transformative impact of first love.
The video opens with the songster as a stylish photographer about to take some photographs of the models on his set. While engaging in his job, a particular model catches his eye and he’s entranced. She instantly becomes the object of his affection so that when he touches her while adjusting her poses, he becomes hers just as he croons, “[…]can’t resist this your touch and follow, when you move, I follow.”
As Ninety falls for his muse, his role as photographer shifts to that of a model, partaking in the shoot himself as this spark between them has put him in an altered state of consciousness; willing to do anything for his gorgeous enchantress. Ninety and his new love proceed to engage in what appears to be a sexy summer-time love affair invoking the tender but profound and sublime beauty that comes with falling in love regardless of the risks involved.
This is Ninety’s first video with his debut single. He previously featured on Magnito’s track and in the video, Sunday, featuring Zlatan. “Touch & Follow” was helmed by Ibidunni Oladayo, an emerging voice in the industry whose credits include Kidakudz, Bella Shmurda and ads for Samsung, Neem Foundation and more.
