ONE MAN, ONE BREAST: Sokoo Hemaa Foundation to embark on a Breast Cancer Awareness walk

Entrepreneur and broadcaster, Melody Kukua Ibrahim, affectionately called SokooHemaa, will on October 19, lead a Breast Cancer Awareness Walk within the Accra metropolis.

The walk under the theme, “One Man, One Breast”, is to rope in men to help in the protection of breasts from any form of cancer.

Speaking to The Spectator, founder of the Sokoo Hemaa Foundation, Melody Kukua Ibrahim, said participants would converge at Obra Spot at the Kwame Nkrumah Interchange, following which they would walk to the Kaneshie Market.

This, she added, would be followed by a free health screening and some musical activities where some musicians would perform to entertain the gathering.

She said that there would be awareness and sensitization moments where the participants would be taken through the rudiments of the menace.

“It is time women accepted the battle of breast cancer and treated it as an emergency,” she said, and expressed her appreciation to Greenfield Scientific Herbal Clinic and Givers Ice for their support.
