SAVIOUR: Yvonne Okoro takes shame away from Ghana…whisks 6 nominations from 2017 AMVCAs

Call her a ‘saviour’ and you wont be wrong one bit, because had it not being for her beautiful effort in seeing that, ‘GHANA MUST GO’ was produced, then the story of Ghana missing out of the 2017 fifth edition of Africa Magic Viewer’s Choice Awards (AMVCA) would have gone down the aisle. The romantic comedy was co-produced by Roseline Okoro.

‘Best Director’, ‘Best Actor In Lead’, ‘Best Supporting’, ‘Best Art Director’, ‘Best Costume’, and ‘Best Writer’, are the six big nods that the movie  whisked.

Nominations were released on Wednesday night at the Intercontinental Hotel in Lagos Nigeria at a ceremony attended by some of the crème-de la-crème of Africa’s film industry.

In 2013 Yvonne’s first self-produced film, ‘Contract’, swept four awards including ‘Best Movie’ in 2013 at the AMVCAs; hopefully, she would repeat that feat next year.
