YTAINMENT ‘19’ PEOPLE TO WATCH IN ‘19: Her ‘Kenkey’ does not only feed ‘the Needy’ but influences Ghana…Meet CARITAS VIOLET NAA AYELE ARYEE

Caritas Violet Naa Ayele Aryee was born to the late Mr. Herbert Aryee and Jevlyn Aggrey-Fynn on the 9th October, and had her education in this sequence Humble Home Creche, St. Anthony’s Schools, Aggrey Memorial Senior High School, Government Secretarial School and Wisconsin University College all in Ghana.

She is a happy-go-girl enjoying total bliss seeing others get happy. She believes that hard work pays and everyone has to what they love to do. In 2017, she was nominated for 40 under 40 awards in Ghana, plus she was also number sixteen on the list of Most Influential Young Ghanaians; and again she was also number twenty-one on the list of Most Influential Women in Ghana 2017.

As an influencer, she has worked with Emirates, McVities, First National Bank, Awake Mineral Water just a mention few. As a public speaker, she has been on a lot of platforms with the likes of Anita Erskine, Naa Ashorkor, among others.

When Ytainment News spoke with her, she told us that, “Philanthropy is a God-given trait and just as the meaning of my name Caritas (to give to the needy), I ventured into it fully in 2013. My foundation known as Tatas and Friends Foundation has been working tirelessly for 5years to touch as many lives as possible. We are known for our popular fundraiser “KENKEY FOR THE NEEDY” which is now one of the events people look forward to in Ghana.”

Furthermore, we found out that the event seeks to change the normal way of raising funds in Ghana. Food brings people together so they chose “Kenkey” a staple food mostly eaten by the Ga Tribe in Ghana. During the event, they bring their donors under one umbrella once every year to eat whiles proceeds from sales solves an educational problem one school at a time. The last one saw them raising over GHC30, 000 as their aim is put up a three classroom block for a rural area.
